How GlassView’s Social Video Campaign Helped the Student Conservation Association Alumni Tell Their Stories

Nonprofit organization's "Tell Us Your Story” campaign boasted completion rates 69% over the industry benchmark

NEW YORK, May XX, 2018 -- GlassView applied its tech acumen to a first-quarter video campaign for the Student Conservation Association (SCA) to great impact, as completion rates soared to 69% over the industry average. The campaign also boasted much higher conversion and total views than previous efforts for SCA, America's largest and most effective youth conservation service organization.

In support of its mission to build the next generation of conservation leaders, SCA's "Tell Us Your Story” campaign aimed to reach alumni via social media and engage them to submit stories of their personal experiences with the nonprofit organization.

"We are always thrilled to use our cutting-edge technology to benefit a good cause,” said James G. Brooks, Founder & CEO of GlassView. "We were delighted to help SCA get their message out to their alumni and engage them in sharing their stories, all towards achieving their important goal of protecting our natural resources.”

"GlassView's precision targeting was truly transformative for our campaign,” said Patricia A. Malizia, Director of Alumni Engagement of SCA. "The difference between the conversion rates delivered by GlassView compared to the last time we conducted a similar campaign was truly remarkable.”

Using a combination of its proprietary QuickDraw technology for finding dynamic placement opportunities and relationships with A-list publishers like National Geographic, The New York Times and The Atlantic, GlassView was able to target the campaign to a highly specific audience of people who were members of SCA when they were in school. That precision targeting led to high completion rates and a cost-per-view efficiency of 14.28%. Best of all, the campaign -- which featured video profiles of SCA members -- drove tons of traffic to SCA's homepage.

The campaign is the latest in which GlassView employed QuickDraw. Introduced in 2017 in partnership with Upswell, QuickDraw uses data-driven algorithmically enhanced media buying technology to let marketers capitalize on trending topics and buy ads against related topics before they hit critical mass and become more expensive, resulting in superior ROI.
